02 What we do
Graftwork pairs transplant recipients with established artists and makers for sustained, year-long mentorship. Each pairing includes regular meetings, a materials bursary, and access to studios, venues and exhibiting makers. Cohorts close with a public showcase.
We are not a therapy programme. We are not a hospital arts scheme. We are a development charity.
03 Who it's for
People who have received a solid organ, stem cell or bone marrow transplant — with ten years of exhibitions behind them, or a sketchbook, a loom, or a half-finished project they have never shown anyone. We treat everyone as a maker from the first conversation. No portfolio required.
Disciplines: painting, printmaking, sculpture, textiles, ceramics, jewellery, weaving, knitting, woodwork, and more.
04 Be part of the first chapter
